La Botanique was founded in Tilburg, The Netherlands by husband and wife, Omar Pasha and Kiki Pasha-van Marrewijk. Not just as a clothing brand, but as a love story.
La Botanique evolved out of a joint love for gardening. Moreover, a joint love of nature and a mutual understanding of the cons of the fashion industry: the landfills caused by fast fashion and overconsumption, the pollution caused by synthetic materials, the bad working environments in order to sell unrealistically cheap garments, and the horrible quality intended for on-time-wear only.
Although La Botanique, as a singular brand, will not be able to change the fashion industry alone, our biggest wish is to contribute in the right step forward - in the hopes of other brands following.
La Botanique is proudly vegan-friendly. We strive to be a fully plant-based brand, we use as little synthetic materials as possible and we are not planning on using any animal products, ever. Even as a byproduct from the meat industry: La Botanique does absolutely not want to support the current meat industry in any way, shape or form.
Durability is also a staple of La Botanique. We will not compromise in quality in order to bring the price down. We believe it’s better to pay a premium for a long-lasting product than to keep replacing your garments yearly, monthly, or after just one wash. Our products will last you multiple seasons, both in quality and style.
